Now you can chat with dead people

It is quite common in movies and horror thrillers, where the characters are always trying to make contact with the dead through Ouija board, spells, and what not. But that is in the movies, let’s talk about reality. Can we talk to the deceased people? Thanks to technology, we can say that the answer is YES through eternime ai you can. If you think about how to bring a loved one back from the dead and you can’t talk to them again, then we have news for you. Now, you can chat with the dead.

Experts have devised a way to bring a loved one back from the dead, via replika. The loss of someone dear is painful and it takes months and sometimes years to deal with that grief, move on in life and make peace with the situations. Usually, the grieving process involves remembering all the moments and memories of the person that passed away. Even in my personal experience, when I lost someone close to me in my life, all I could do was to look back at all the pictures that I had with that person, all the selfies, and the videos of fun that we did. And as I moved on in my life and accepted the reality.

How can you talk to your deceased loved one?

But as technology is progressing with Artificial Intelligence, imagination is just a word. Artificial intelligence has made life easier it has also allowed you the ability to speak to your deceased family member with Griefbots. This kind of technology is a simulation of a departed friend, spouse, or parent. It imitates the tone of voice, the gestures, idiosyncrasies, and laughter.

With the age of technology, the process of grievance has also changed. Previously, the grief would be overcome by pictures, memories, and dreams. But now, it is possible to live with the life-like memories of the deceased loved ones as if they are actually present and alive. Just like having a conversation with them.

A well-known philosopher and researcher, Davide Sisto at the University of Turin, shares an event, and narrates a story in an article, ‘Online Afterlives’. He narrates that a man named Roman Mazurenko, who was a tech entrepreneur was hit by a car in Moscow and died. This event took place in 2015 and Roman was quite young, in his late twenties. Roman’s friend, Eugenia was also into tech and worked as a software developer. Eugenia was working on a messenger app known as ‘Luka’, which was an AI-based software that imitates human speech and dialogues.

Suddenly struck and shocked by her friend’s death, she couldn’t cope with the grief. So, she decided to communicate with Roman through a thing in which she was an expert, AI, and software. She got inspired by an episode of Black Mirror in which they showed the character Martha who was devastated after the death of her boyfriend Ash, tried to communicate with him through an application. Eugenia also tried to recreate this concept to talk to the digital ghost of Roman.

Read, WhatsApp addresses rumors

Remembering Roman, Eugenia read all the text messages and conversations she had with Roman since 2008, and she also asked all Roman’s friends to send all their conversations. She ended up with thousands of messages of Roman and then with her computer scientists’ friends, she created a bot that could emulate and learn Roman’s messages and talk to them like Roman.

They exchanged messages with this digital ghost of Roman through a chatbot.  That chat included messages like when asked ‘what’s new?’, chatbot Roman replied, ‘Laying on the sofa all day and staring at the ceiling.’ And when asked ‘how are you?’, the digital ghost of Roman said, ‘I am fine, I just need to be around people more. These all messages made the friends and family of Roman feel like they are just talking to Roman and he is actually talking to them. He felt alive. Moreover, the AI bot was able to recognize the patterns and views of Roman from his messages. When the friends asked, ‘do God and soul exist’, the bot after recognizing the atheism from his chat replied, ‘Only sadness’.

Eugenia wanted to go further with her model and introduced another app known as Replika, which is like a diary and journal. The app asks the users a series of questions to get to know them and then mimic their style and personalities. The main goal of this app is to mimic us, create our digital avatar and then replace us when we are longer alive. Eugenia also wants to improve the emotional responsiveness of the bot so that it could become a virtual friend to people.

Now although it seems that wow, this is such a unique and amazing idea and I have never seen or heard about it before. But hold on. Luka and Replika are not the only apps designed to communicate with dead people. Another app known as the ‘Dadbot’ was created by an AI enthusiast James Vlahos who lost his father to lung cancer. So, before his father’s death, he talked to his father and kept a record of all of his conversations. It included his memories regarding his marriage, the high and low points of life and all his struggles.

More, WhatsApp’s new feature is rolling out

James gathered a lot of data from all these conversations. Then, James came across scientists who were developing a chatbot through movie dialogues, and he also remembered the Pullstring program that made conversation possible with a fictional character. So, he used Pullstring to recognize the Mp3 versions of his father’s recordings and he also created the software ‘Dadbot’ and since his father’s death, he talks and chats with him through these digital means.

The series Black Mirror showed us how one grieves over the loss of someone in this digital age. It can be extremely hard for some people to express and move on with their pain so apps like Luka, Replika and Dadbot allow the users to cope with the death of their loved ones. They not only become virtual friends but also remind the users about their own reality, about their own death.

These apps become a string that attaches us to our deceased ones, and at the same time reminding us that this is not real. It helps in the process of acceptance and realization. These apps help us in softening our pain because when we lose someone, that is the time when we need some sort of connection, we need comfort and some sort of answer from beyond. Even though this is not the actual beyond but the simulations help us to make peace with the situation.

Also, India floods: people are missing and feared dead

Martine Rothblatt is a technologist who in her book ‘Virtually Human’ pointed out that the amazing aspect of technology and artificial intelligence is that it allows us to continue relationships even if they are over, we can still spend time with those who are no longer with us. We can talk to them about our special moments and events. Eugenia also emphasized on a similar front saying that, when something happens in our life, we want to talk to someone about it, and that is one of the most important features of Luka and Replika, that you have someone with whom you can share anything you want, even the most secret and personal details that you could not share with your friends or family as you might get judged by them. But these chatbots don’t judge, they just listen and be a good virtual friend.

Well, then we should be glad that we live in an age that gives us the digital experience of having contact with the ones we have lost. The digital ghosts give us a sense of relief from the pain of our loss and at the same time give us hope that maybe after us, we will still be an active part of our memories. This creates a whole another dimension. We are already uploading our pictures, selfies and information online and now with the help of these apps, we can preserve ourselves as well. How well one can get along with these apps is difficult to answer but it sure does give us an insight into what the future holds.

Climate change and its records around the globe

The arctic epidemic that has gripped the heartland of the nation for the past week for many, particularly people living in the South, is the kind of cold that only occurs once in a century. There were countless record cold temperatures set. Conditions overloaded the Texas power system, cutting millions of residents off fuel and leaking water pipes, causing a humanitarian disaster.

In the last few decades, the study of meteorology has come a long way, so much so that meteorologists have predicted this harsh winter weather arriving several weeks in advance. That’s because a broad and familiar event that took place in the Arctic at the start of the year, called Abrupt Stratospheric Warming, or SSW, triggered this intense trend.

SSW’s are a common phenomenon that happens every couple of winters in the weeks surrounding them, portraying extreme weather. That’s how it disrupts a swirling mass of cold air, the polar vortex, a semi-permanent weather phenomenon that is active every winter as the Arctic warms rapidly.

More, Cold winds reign in Karachi, temperature drops to 6 degrees Celsius

The jet stream usually winds through the vortex and serves as a kind of lasso, trapping the cold air locked inside. But the jet stream weakens and elongates as it gets warm in the Arctic, causing the cold air to dive south.

This allows for the formation of a broad mountain of warm air over the Arctic, temporarily supplanting the cold vortex. The warm mountain, redirecting the jet stream and bitter cold air southward, acts as an atmospheric block.

Consequently, hundreds of daily record lows were set within the later the week and allowed some astonishing sights to catch, just like the frozen waterfall in Arkansas.

Also frozen swamps in Louisiana.

The latest severe weather was not only experienced in the United States but in Saudi Arabia too, when the snow-covered camels, is an unusual view. The weather was extreme all over the globe.

More, Karachi’s weather drops

Extreme cold and hot weather are closely related

Meteorologists expected a wavy jet stream as these two extreme kinds of weather are paired because ‘what goes up must come down’.

There is an equal and opposite reaction as the atmosphere pushes cool air south, pushing warm air north. Weather extremes and the consequences they bring on civilization follow as air masses are displaced into areas they don’t normally visit.

Climate scientists are of the view that climate change does not only increase the risk of sudden stratospheric warming, but climate change itself may have similar consequences in the Arctic, as it is already causing massive warming.

PML-N demands re-election in NA-75, Maryam Nawaz

Maryam Nawaz, Vice President PML-N, held a press conference to expose the evidence and demanded re-election in NA-75 Sialkot-IV.

At the conference on Saturday, she called the proofs “irrefutable evidence” and also thanked the workers of the party and people from Nowshera and Daska for “guarded their votes”.

Maryam also said that the people in NA-75 Sialkot-IV caught the thieves stealing their votes.

PML-N Vice President also extended sympathies to the two deceased families who fell victim to the violence during the election.

Earlier day, the violence took place amid by-polls in which two people lost their lives in NA-75 constituency, located in Sialkot while three people were wounded on Friday in firing mayhem.

Reportedly, one of the victims was a member of the ruling PTI, while the other belonged to the PML-N. According to eyewitnesses and local media, a PTI polling agent was also among the wounded.

Speaking at the conference, Maryam claimed that the government’s completely vacant and people clearly supported PML-N.

ECP believes results have been corrupted for Sialkot’s NA-75 constituency

Pakistan’s Election Commission has officially reported that it suspects fraud in the NA-75 constituency by-elections in Sialkot.

On Saturday afternoon, the ECP released an Explanatory Statement on the delay and suspension of the outcome of the NA-75 Daska constituency by-election.

Earlier today, in the light of a dispute involving 23 presiding officers who had reportedly ‘gone missing’ late in the night, the details of the NA-75 by-poll were withheld at the behest of the PML-N.

Due to the fog, 23 polling officers were trapped in far-flung parts of the constituency. Police had taken the officers where PML-N and PTI leaders were also present and took them to the office of the district returning officer in a late-night development.

The ECP statement, however, also said that several attempts to reach the presiding officers were made, but no reply was obtained from them. The chief election commissioner also tried to contact Punjab IG and other relevant authorities after receiving news about the presiding officers who had ‘gone missing’.

The DRO and RO announced that it is now alleged that the results of 20 polling stations in the NA-75 by-election were rigged so that the final result of the constituency could not be published without a complete investigation, ECP said.

How to stop being lazy?

Laziness and lack of motivation can often lead you unsatisfied, unaccomplished, and depressed. You might find yourself drenched in negative thoughts but did you ever try to ask yourself about how to stop being lazy and depressed? If you have then we at Daynews.tv are going to give you 6 proven ways you can stop being lazy.

Do you think you are a naturally lazy person?

Well, you will be surprised how many people claim laziness as one of their core personality traits. People often resign themselves to a lethargic lifestyle assuming it’s a fundamental part of who they are.

How to look after your mental health?

But they’re looking at laziness the wrong way, as a matter of fact, intrinsic laziness is not nearly as common as people think very few people are as lazy as they say

For instance, if you’re struggling to exercise regularly every night you say to yourself that you’re going to go running in the morning but every morning you find an excuse not to.

But does that prove that you’re a naturally lazy person?

The answer is, not at all.

There are many reasons why you face trouble accomplishing your goals or creating healthy habits. Chances are you might face problems with self-control or self-discipline, your fears, and insecurities.

These fears and insecurities are holding you back and trapping you inside your comfort zone and when you start believing that you’re intrinsically lazy, not only are you ignoring the real problem but you’re also avoiding your potential to be productive and efficient.

All you need to do is to believe in your own ability. You have to have faith that you’re capable of improving yourself and your life.

But if you continue to make harmful assumptions, your work ethic will suffer.

1. Eight categories of laziness (where does it come from?)

Fortunately, psychologists have narrowed down laziness into eight categories since you’re not innately lazy. You should understand where your laziness comes from.

Laziness, as psychologists discovered, is a byproduct of a much deeper problem, it can be tricky to figure out why it’s happening. However, these categories describe each unique underlying problem. These problems stem from vastly different emotional states which result in creating negative and unproductive mindsets.

Ertugrul falls in love with Pakistan and is ready to work here

Watch out, if any of these categories sound the most like you.

  •  Know about your Laziness

The more you know, the easier will it be to getting rid of it because you don’t have the physical or mental energy to be productive. You might say things along the lines of ‘I’m too tired to work the problem’ or I can’t do this. That’s because you’re not taking good enough care of yourself.

  • Regret

You get lazy when you feel like an opportunity has passed you by. You avoid work, saying it’s too late to get started but in reality, you’re making excuses to stay where you are. Chances are you don’t believe in your ability to keep up with everyone else.

  • Internal shame

Internal shame can make you incredibly unproductive and ruin your MINDSET. Oftentimes this comes from a lack of self-compassion that leads you frustrated with yourself for being lazy. As a result, you end up trying to avoid the work entirely.

Opposition parties are not a problem for us, Prime Minister

  • Social fear

More often than not you shy away because of social fear. You’re scared of trying something and failing since you assume that you’re going to ruin your image in front of people.

  • Neuroticism or Anxiety

When you come face to face with new challenges it’s natural to be overwhelmed by lots of fears. You might say to yourself that you can’t do something because you’re too scared to try.

  • Uncertainty

Laziness is majorly created by uncertainty. You might hesitate when something is complicated or confusing but this confusion is a natural part of any challenge so learn to embrace it.

PSL: Esra Bilgic becomes Peshawar Zalmi’s brand ambassador

  • Apathy

Apathy is another factor that can make you lazy because you don’t care. This is a sign of aimlessness or depression. If you feel apathetic toward everything, that doesn’t mean you’re not lazy, you just need to discover something that’s important to you.

  • Self-definition

Self-definition is the problem we talked about in step one. If you identify as lazy, well, then you become lazy! But you can solidify your ambitions by gradually changing the way you define yourself.

2. Rediscover Your Direction

Ask yourself what will happen if you leave things the way they are?

Intimidating, right?

This is a significant though uncomfortable question to ask yourself especially if you’re someone who is struggling with laziness.

The future may seem a bit frightening if you stay the way you are for the next 5 to 10 years. You might never achieve your lifelong objectives.

And eventually, you might never turn into the person that you dreamt of becoming.

These hypotheticals will train you to look into the future to consider how your current priorities are subject to alter over time.

When you realize that you’re not on the right path, this epiphany will motivate you to correct fruitless habits and make enduring changes to your lifestyle.

3. Identifying the Value of your Work

Even after you improve your mindset, you might still find it difficult to think up the value in your work.

This often tends to make you unproductive because nothing seems worthwhile.

So, use your time wisely!

There’s an easy way to work around this kind of laziness. You can set a goal or make a new habit.

Don’t just pen down what you’re doing, write down why it’s important?

Why is this addition to your life necessary?

And when you answer the value of your goals, your work will seem worth doing so make this simple change to revolutionize your productivity.

How to look after your mental health?

4. Take Breaks

Some people think being productive means working uninterrupted for hours on end. But this is not true!

You think you’re supposed to get everything done in one sitting but that’s absolutely unrealistic and difficult.

Barely anyone works like that even the most productive and successful people in the world.

So don’t hold yourself to this impossible standard. Do not anticipate yourself to sit down and concentrate for 10 to 12 hours straight. It’s scarcely ever going to happen. Therefore, this isn’t something you should be ashamed of.

There’s nothing wrong with taking intervals every now and then. As a matter of fact, breaks are incredibly fruitful to stay productive during the times you’re feeling lazy.

Ali Gul Pir roasts Kangna Ranaut on social media

If you use these breaks correctly you can virtually use laziness to your advantage and will be able to create a routine that lets you be lazy and feel good about it.

The key is to trade downtime for work time.

Meaning, in order to get a well-deserved break, let’s say you really want to watch an episode of your favorite show, you will have to earn that half-hour of laziness by doing an equal amount of work.

Keep at least a 1 to downtime you do 3 minutes of work that means you need to work for 90 minutes to earn a half-hour for your show.

This step will pay you off and will be quite effective, your laziness will become your motivation when you can’t shake the urge to slack off then let that fuel you.

This way you will be more productive because you know that a fun reward is waiting for you at the end.

Chances are you may even find yourself working harder when you know there’s a break coming up soon. Many people end up overshooting the time they need to spend working that gets so wrapped up in a project that they end up pushing themselves further.

Is ACCA Topper’s achievement overshadowed by the Pawri girl video?

Do you know why?

Because setting limitations alleviates pressure and makes your work seem manageable instead of stressful and depressive.

However, that’s not all, replacing work time for downtime also makes your interval more enjoyable. Because you are not avoiding work and ending up being guilty, restless, and angry with yourself.

Your procrastinating is almost an investment into your work. And now, no negative emotions will ruin whatever fun thing you’re doing.

So, you can actually enjoy being lazy. You can catch up on your favourite shows, browse social media or do whatever you want without that frustrating guilt looming over your head.

You can divide up your day with short pauses to get the most out of your work time and your downtime.

Life amid coronavirus: same life, new story

5. Measure your transformation

As you gradually begin changing your habits and priorities, remember to keep track of your progress.

Even the smallest improvements can help you down the road because looking back on your transformation and knowing how far you have come can be a huge motivator.

If you ever feel hopeless and lethargic those records will give you an extra boost of encouragement.

You’ll be able to move past the rough patches as these small records of improvement will help you overcome obstacles and persevere through failure.

A lot of people get discouraged and lazy because they don’t feel like their hard work is making any difference and they are investing all this time and energy just for nothing.

Old iOS and Android Phone users. Whatsapp will not work on your cell

Maybe you’re hoping to notice drastic modifications in your body shape or feel like you’re getting closer to achieving your goals but you’re not noticing any results.

It’s vital to keep in mind that real change happens over time; you can’t actually detect it unless you compare where you started and where you are right now.

By tracking your progress and keeping records you are able to discern how much you’ve accomplished it’s a piece of physical evidence that indicates your hard work is literally paying off.

6. The Power of Kindness

If you want to continue to be productive you need to maintain a positive attitude about your work and yourself. It’s a key thing to forgive yourself when you fail.

Just because you messed up once or twice doesn’t mean you should throw your goals out of the window.

Everyone fails plenty of times in their lives and you’re no exception. Don’t be hard on yourself and don’t let those failures destroy your motivation and self-esteem.

Instead, be kind to yourself, that way you will continue to grow into the person that you want to be.

Analysis: Why ‘Pawri’ Girl’s video went viral?

By this time now, millions of people know who the “Pawri Horahi Hai” girl is. The girl who made the two-minute-long video garnered everyone’s attention through social media, so much so that even Indian Youtube content creator, Yashraj Mukhate, made the song on it.

Before this Pakistani girl’s video, Yashraj Mukhate transformed an Indian drama’s short scene into a hilarious rap song, Rasode Me Kon Tha, as he played with its dialogues, which also went viral.

This time around he did his magic with a spontaneous short-video clip shared by Dananeer Mobeen, a Pakistani influencer.

Is ACCA Topper’s achievement overshadowed by the Pawri girl video?

Celebrities from all over the world recreated the video.

Here is a famous singer from Akcent Band.

Pakistani Politician, Sharmila Faruqi.

Bilal Saeed engages in a fight, video went viral

The Pakistani cricketers.

The singer, Ali Zafar.

Even Pakistani Heart-throb, Mahira Khan recreated and shared the video on her Instagram account.

But isn’t this mind-boggling why she got so much fame that she got so much recognition over such a video?

Considering the fact, that the video has no famous people, no lengthy Shakespearean dialogues, neither does it have a story to tell – It just became insanely popular!

The video contains only three spontaneous sentences along the lines of, “Yeh Humari car hai, Aur Yeh Hum Hai, Aue ye Humari Pawri ho Rahi hai”.

Abdul Qavi no more “Mufti”

First of all, the video went viral because of the girl’s way of saying the dialogues.

This clip became the talk of the town as the girl’s accent is quite unusual and as a matter of fact, quite artificial.

Pakistan and India have a long history of colonization, yet after so many years, people of both countries haven’t been able to get rid of those standards. The obsession with English and the British accent still prevails in these societies.

However, mimicking the British accent is now considered a little bizarre, and those who have it, face ridicule.

Ertugrul visits shrines in Pakistan

Suffice to say that Pawri girl’s video’s fame wasn’t due to the fact that she said something revolutionizing rather her failure to imitate, Received Pronunciation, RP accent [received pronunciation: the standard form of British English pronunciation, widely accepted as a standard elsewhere].

The girl in the video instead of saying “Party” said “Pawri” which was quite unacceptable and people did start poking fun at the clip.

However, this video is a true depiction of how rapidly the perspective changes when it gets so much attention from across the globe. People forget her artificial accent and lauded her for coming up with something as spontaneous and catchy as that.

Oil extends losses as Texas plans to scale up production

As Texas energy producers started planning to reopen oil and gas fields blocked by freezing conditions, oil prices dropped from recent highs for a second day on Friday.

Brent crude futures dropped $1.16, or 1.8 percent, to $62.77 a barrel by 1150 GMT, while crude futures in the United States West Texas Intermediate (WTI) fell $1.42, or 2.4 percent, to $59.10 a barrel.

According to experts, extremely cold weather in Texas and the Plains states has cut crude oil demand by up to 4 million barrels per day (bpd) and 21 billion cubic feet of natural gas.

In the wake of power outages and extreme cold, Texas refiners suspended about a quarter of the nation’s oil production.

However, industries in the area were supposed to brace for production restarts on Friday as electric power and water supplies resume slowly, sources said.

In the week to February 12, before the freeze, oil dropped amid a sudden fall in US crude stockpiles. Inventories dropped by 7.3 million barrels to 461.8 million barrels, the Energy Information Administration announced on Thursday, their lowest since March.

The US said it was prepared to speak to Iran about the return of both nations to a 2015 deal aimed at stopping Tehran from possessing nuclear weapons.

If the thawing ties could boost the possibility of the reversal of sanctions levied by the former US administration, observers did not anticipate that the Iranian oil sanctions would be repealed in the immediate future.
